Payment
Payment is required at the time of service for any balance that is not expected to be covered by your insurance carrier. This balance can include any applicable deductibles, co-pays, or non-covered items as determined by insurance. Please be prepared to pay the "non-covered" portion of your bill at the time of service.

Insurance will be filed for you from information acquired at admission. If you anticipate difficulty in financing your hospital stay, we urge you to consult an insurance counselor at (270) 793-2358.

Insurance
Your hospitalization is a contract between you and your insurance provider. Assignments of insurance benefits are usually obtained upon admission. Final payment of your bill or assignment of sufficient insurance benefits is required at the time of discharge.

As a service to our patients, hospitalization insurance will be billed for you by the hospital's Business Office. Your insurance company will be given approximately 30 days to pay their portion of your bill. Therefore, in order to ensure that your insurance company pays promptly, any claim forms or other information that your insurance company requires should be sent to them as soon as possible.

After 30 days from billing has passed, the full amount due will be the responsibility of the guarantor. The assignment of insurance to the hospital does not relieve the guarantor of the financial responsibility of the account.
